This site is dedicated to educating people and providing information on the problem of the "Ingrown Toenail" or "Ingrowing Toenail".  The term for this painful and often cosmetically unattractive condition is actually misleading.

Hopefully after reviewing the information on this website, looking at the before and after pictures, and the walk-through of the procedure, you will come to realize that it is not the nail to blame for this problem, but the skin around it.

Our goal is that with further education on this condition, physicians and patients will understand that the Vandenbos Procedure not only gives a cosmetically pleasing result, but also a negligible recurrence rate - the problem will never return!
